"My compliments for your quality. You have no idea how disappointed I was that I had to replace my damaged videos with DVDs. After watching Whip Wilson all afternoon I wanted to let you know I'll be buying more next month. Seems what I bought from you are definite upgrades from what I had on video. Keep up the good work."

JACK HOXIE Westerns
Jack Hoxie performed in rodeos before establishing himself in Hollywood as a stuntman. There, it didn't him long to be signed on as the star of his own westerns. JACK HOXIE Westerns
Jack Hoxie performed in rodeos before establishing himself in Hollywood as a stuntman. There, it didn't him long to be signed on as the star of his own westerns. While Hoxie is not as well remembered as Roy Rogers and William S. Hart, he left an undeniable stamp in western movies. His career faded quickly after sound, as even though he looked the part of a rough cowboy, his skills did not extend to sounding like one. (He could barely read.) VERY RARE COWBOY WESTERNS

SPOILERS OF THE WEST  (1927)
rare cowboy western that was produced under an estimated budget of $60,000 (and that was a lot of money back then)! Stars Tim McCoy as Lt. Lang, hoping to win the love of Marjorie Drew, combat her brother William Fairbanks, and save the territory from Red Cloud. Sadly, time has not been kind to this film. Even the studio's print was damaged but thankfully, the damage was only during the film's first three minutes. So if you can bear with negative damage for the first three minutes, this silent Tim McCoy is a must-have.

DANGEROUS "NAN" McGREW  (1930)
Helen Kane's only starring movie. Known as the Boop-Boopa-Doop Girl (think Betty Boop). Dangerous Nan McGrew is the sharp-shooting expert of a traveling medicine show that is stranded in the Canadian northwest at the snowbound hunting lodge of wealthy Mrs. Benson. Nan is invited to put on a show for the benefit of Mrs. Benson's Christmas-Eve guests. While performing her boop-a-doop songs, Eustace Macy, the saxophone-tooting nephew of Mrs. Benson falls in love with Nan. And, then, the villain, the bank-robbing Doc Foster, makes his entrance. Can Dawes of the Royal Mounted be seen slushing in pursuit behind the gangster?

END OF THE TRAIL (1932)
This is a rare Tim McCoy western. What? You have it already? Probably not -- because we have the COMPLETE version and not the edited version. For the last few decades, everyone has had the version with the ending clipped out. Most people didn't realize that they never saw the entire film. Our exclusive version, transferred from a 16mm Kodak print, is uncut and complete. Framed by Major Jenkins, Capt. Travers is kicked out of the Army. When Travers, now living with the Indians, is captured by Jenkins, the Indians attack the fort. With his men greatly outnumbered Colonel Burke realizes that Travers is their only chance.

REX ALLEN GUEST APPEARANCES
Not only can you get the box set from us featuring every Rex Allen movie, but this single disc offers what you might refer to as six bonus features. Even if you have all the movies already, this is not to be missed. The bonus features include:

2. Rex Allen as a guest on JUBILEE USA from May 17, 1960.

4. Rex Allen sings in Orlando, Florida.
5. Rex Allen is interviewed at the Atlanta Film Festival, March 23, 1985.
6. Rex Allen sing at the Knoxville Film Festival, May 8, 1988.

COWBOY ROUND-UP  (1936)
Original title: Ride 'Em Cowboy. One of the more rare Buck Jones westerns. Fleeing from the Sheriff, Jess Burns hops on a passing train and right into the baggage car where hustler Chuck Morse is posing as a race car mechanic. Needing a driver for the big race, Chuck talks Jess into it and names him Speed. Having never driven a car and reluctant at first, Jess takes a dislike to his competing driver and sets out to win the race.

THE FOREST RANGERS (1942)
Ranger Don Stuart fights a forest fire with timber boss friend Tana 'Butch' Mason, and finds evidence of arson. He suspects Twig Dawson but can't prove it. Butch loves Don but he, poor fool, won't notice her as a woman; instead he meets socialite Celia in town and elopes with her. The action plot (Don's pursuit of the fire starter) parallels Tana's comic efforts to scare tenderfoot Celia back to the city. Stars Fred MacMurray, Susan Hayward and Paulette Goddard. Filmed during a real forets fire outside Lakeview, Oregon, the crew had to stop filming when their film began to melt (even though they used heat-resistant film).

MAN IN THE SHADOW  (1958)
In effect, modern cow town Spurline is run by Virgil Renchler, owner of the Golden Empire Ranch. One night, two of Virgil's henchmen go a little too far and beat a ranch hand to death. Faced with an obvious cover-up and opposition on every hand, Sheriff Ben Sadler is goaded into investigating. Stars Jeff Chandler, William Schallert and Orson Welles.

STRAIGHT SHOOTING
Cattleman Flint cuts off farmer Sims' water supply. When Sims' son Ted goes for water, one of Flint's men kills him. Cheyenne is sent to finish off Sims, but finding the family at the newly dug grave, changes sides. Stars Hoot Gibson and Harry Carey. This was John Ford's first theatrical film and was considered lost until a copy was found in teh Czechoslovak Film Archive. It was restored to the full length (unlike the edited crappy print on DVD elsewhere) and we offer the uncut, restored print NOT available anywhere else.

WYATT EARP: RETURN TO TOMBSTONE  (1994)
Combining colorized footage from the television series 'The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp' with new scenes shot in Tombstone, Az in 1994-this movie shows the return of the legendary former Marshal to his old stomping grounds. He visits old friends, teaches bad guys some manners and reveals secrets about his early life. Stars Hugh O'Brien in the role.

THE RED RAIDERS  (1927)
Want to watch a silent Ken Maynard not eaisly available? Try this one, filmed on location in Montana with Crow Indians from the local reservation. Action-packed with Maynard doing a lot fo trick riding (some of it obviously doubled) as well as Indians-on-the-warpath. Lone Wolf, who is stirring up the Indians against the wishes of his elders, gets the job as scout at the fort. When he hears of the approval of the new reservation, he sends his men to trap Scott and his troop before they can deliver the information.

THE DEVIL HORSE (1926)
A boy's family is wiped out in an Indian massacre of a wagon train and he is captured. He befriends a wild colt. Years later, following his escape, he is recaptured by Indians who force him to fight their vicious devil horse. The horse looks somewhat familiar... This silent 1926 Hal Roach production (with script dialogue written by Stan Laurel!) is considered one of the five best silent cowboy westerns ever made. The term "action packed" is not used lightly in this film. Yakima Canutt supplies most of the stunts and almost got killed in one stunt that proved to be too dangerous.

SUGARFOOT (1951)
The classic Randolph Scott movie with Scott as Jackson Redan, a former confederate officer who moves to Prescott, Arizona to start a fresh new life. But even as he makes new friends ge is blighted by an old advesary and forced to take up his guns once again. Not to be confused with the TV series of the same name.

RAIDERS OF THE DESERT  (1941)
Two American adventurers jump ship in a Middle Eastern port, and wind up in the middle of a civil war. Richard Arlen and Andy Devine are the adventurers, but when they discover the ship is headed to Arabia, enter stage left Maria Montez in one of her few films for the studios (and, incidentally, one of the only filsm she did that isn't available anywhere on DVD). Also stars Turhan Bey and Linda Hayes.

THE REPUBLIC PICTURES DOCUMENTARY
A two-hour history of Republic Pictures studios, featuring hundreds of clips plus on-camera interviews with the stars, directors, stuntmen, and more. While it won't feature the creation or demise of the studio, the stories are great. Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Ruth Terry, Tom Steele, Dale Evans, Buck Henry, Ed Herlihy, Linda Sterling, Frank Coughlin Jr., Ricard Webb, William Whitney and many others are interviewed!

THE MYSTERIOUS RIDER  (1938)
Ben Wade and his partner Frosty return to Bellounds' ranch where twenty years earlier Wade was wanted for murder. Unrecognized, he gets a job on the ranch and soon becomes involved in Folsom's cattle rustling and a chance to settle an old score. One of many Zane Grey films that has yet to come out on DVD. Douglas Dumbrille, Sidney Toler and Russell Hayden appear in this classic, produced by Harry Sherman, the same producer of the Hopalong Cassidy films. Above standard production values.

THE LAST OF THE DUANES  (1930)

In rescuing Ruth, he becomes entangled with Bland's amorous wife. Stars George O'Brien and one of Myrna Loy's earliest talkies. Another of the Zane Grey -- Fox pictures.

APACHE UPRISING  (1965)
Various stage coach passengers and outlaws travelling through Indian country are forced to join forces against the Apaches. Stars Rory Calhoun, John Russell, Lon Chaney and this marked Johnny Mack Brown's final screen appearance!

SWING IN THE SADDLE (1944)
Over half of the 69-minutes running time is taken up with the twelve songs and discussions of which ranch will win the "singing championship" at the upcoming Frontier Days Celebration, so those folks who love cowboy rough and tough fighting, forget it. Regional radio performers star in this classic such as Red River Dave/Dave McEnery from San Antonio, Joy May Creasy/Cousin Emmy from KMOX in St. Louis and the Hoosier Hotshots from Chicago's WLS. Add Jimmy Wakely, Slim Summerville andthe Nat King Cole trio (no joke) and you see a classic country jubilee dated with World War II propaganda.

BUSTER CRABBE ZANE GREY TRIPLE FEATURE
Three classic films based on Zane Grey movies, each starring Buster Crabbe.  $10.00
DRIFT FENCE (1936) Cowboy pretends to be city dude sent to manage uncle's ranch, when he learns the ranch is being menaced by an outlaw who the cowboy badly wants to catch.

When he races into action to find the culprits, Kitty discovers she must make a decision over right and wrong. Stars John Hall, Margaret Lindsay and Andy Devine.

TRAIL OF THE VIGILANTES  (1940)
Franchot Tone might be an unlikely cowboy hero, but as an undercover agent sent West to halt the activities of rustler Warren William, the scenario is worth watching. An object of ridicule in many ways, Tone makes a couple needed friends in the form of saloon brawlers Broderick Crawford and Andy Devine. This movie does have a straight-faces finale.

DEPUTY MARSHALL  (1949)
Stars John Hall, Frances Langford, Dick Foran and Russell Hayden. Hall and Langford were Mr. and Mrs. in real life at the time this movie was made, and was considered a highlight of westerns released by the movie studio at the time.

EYES OF TEXAS  (1948)
Starring Roy Rogers and Andy Devine. A ranch oner turns his place into a home for boys who have lost their fathers in World War II. His evil female lawyer (Nana Bryant) covets the ranch and works in cahoots with Ford;s long-lost nephew and a pack of killer dogs to get it. U.S. marshal Roy Roger puts an end to her plans. Unlike the prints available elsewhere, we now offer the UNCUT print! No joke!

Investigating, he fins the freezer where the slaughtered game are kept. But he is caught, tied up, and left to freeze. How will he escape? This film is now being offered in TruColor. Until now, the movie was available ONLY in black and white. Even TV airings have been black and white. Someone recently found what is apparently the ONLY TruColor print so Roy Rogers fans can rejoice!

CHEROKEE STRIP  (1940)
Richard Dix plays the strong but shy Marshal who is trying to keep his mind on his job while being attracted to the beautiful census takeer, the lovely Florence Rice. Supporting cast includes Andy Devine, Morris Ankrum and Victor Jory. As the film unfolds, the hero seems to be one step ahead of the bad guys the entire time. This film is so rare that it's never been aired on TV in the last thirty years.

HOLD THE PRESS!  (1933)
Tim McCoy stars. When newspaper reporter Tim Collins, of the "Post", is slugged while investigating the shooting of a big-time gambler, he sets out to get his man with such determination that he ends up in jail. When it looks like the Pony Express will be awarded the mail contract, he gives guns to the Indians and has them attack both the riders and the stations.

American actor-director-writer-producer Gilbert M. Anderson, father of the movie cowboy and the first Western star, performed in vaudeville before joining forces with Edwin S. Porter as an actor and occasional script collaborator. In Porter's startling early film The Great Train Robbery (1903), Anderson played several roles (among them, the train passenger shot by bandits as he tries to escape). The success of that film prompted Anderson to begin writing, directing and starring in his own series of Westerns. In 1907, he and George K. Spoor founded Essanay Film Manufacturing Co., destined to be one of the predominant early film studios. Anderson gained enormous popularity in hundreds of Western shorts, playing the first real cowboy hero, "Broncho Billy." This DVD contains three of those classics. WITH SITTING BULL AT THE SPIRIT LAKE MASSACRE (1927)
This silent western stars Bryant Washburn and Bob Bradbury Jr. (a.k.a. Bob Steele). It was produced in 1925 but went unreleased until 1927 and was then considered lost for another 80 years. It stars a Native American thespian, Chief Yowlachie, as the famous 19th Century Sioux Indian Sitting Bull. A historical event dramatized which ultimately rouses the ire of Sitting Bull and prompts him to forcibly reclaim the territory.

Lone wolf, who is stirring up the Indians against the wishes of his elders, gets the job of scout at the fort. When he hears of the approval of the new reservation, he sends his men to trap Scott and his troop before they can deliver the information. Filmed on location in Montana with Crow Indians from the local reservation, this is certainly an action-packed Ken Maynard outing featuring lots of Ken's trick riding (some of it obviously doubled) as well as the obligatory Indians-on-the warpath footage.

MANHATTAN COWBOY  (1928)
When easterner Jack Steel gets into trouble with the law again, his father sends him to his ranch out west. There he and Alice Duncan become attracted to each other. TOM MIX WESTERNS (Silent and Talkies)

HEART OF TEXAS RYAN  (1917)

A cowboy gets a message that his sister's husband has left her and she is in trouble. When he gets there, he finds her dead. He sets out to track down the husband. Stars Tom Mix.

THE LAW AND THE OUTLAW  (1913)
According to Blackhawk Films who distributed the standard 8 format of this film, it originally(in 1914) was a 2 reeler, but at least 5 years later as Mix's popularity began to soar it was combined with another 2 reeler to provide a near feature length film for his ever growing audience. It still stayed true to the overall story, although the ending was altered somewhat. The plot chiefly is fairly interesting and Mix's performance is good, but the abundance of inter-titles is a drawback as well as the camera work which in general relies on the medium shot. This is the lengthier version.
