CADE'S COUNTY  (1967-1972)
Glenn Ford stars as Sam Cade, a tough but sensitive sheriff of sprawling Madrid County located in the American Southwest. Between chases and shootouts, he had to deal with a number of relevant 70s issues in this television series. This 3-disc set contains fifteen classic episodes.  $15.00

CALTIKI, THE IMMORTAL MONSTER  (1960)
Archaeologists investigating some Mayan ruins come across a blob-like monster. They manage to destroy it with fire, but keep a sample. Meanwhile, a comet is due to pass close to the Earth -- the same comet passed near the Earth at the time the Mayan civilization mysterious collapsed. Coincidence? When the sample starts to spread out, the film gets dark and gruesome. This is Mario Bava’s version of The Blob, only darker.

CALVIN AND THE COLONEL
This animated series lasted a mere 20+some episodes from 1961 to 1962.  It featured the exploits of two backwoods animals from the south who had taken up residence in a large northern city.  Created and voiced by the same two men who created the radio series AMOS 'n' ANDY.  They felt that by using animals as their principal characters, they could avoid the touchy racial situation which the Amos n' Andy television program became branded for during the late fifties.  They were wrong.  The episodes (which happen to be very funny, by the way) were removed from the air and never broadcast since.  This DVD features four classic episodes: "Thanksgiving Dinner," "Sister Sue's Sweetheart," "Sycamore Lodge" and "Wheeling and Dealing."

THE CANARY MURDER CASE  (1929)
Originally filmed as a silent, this well-cast early talkie stars William Powell debuting as urbane sleuth Philo Vance, probing the death of a nightclub singer played by Louise Brooks.  This was the first film of the Philo Vance movie series and regarded as a great mystery.  Sadly, the director had to go back and refilm certain scenes after it was completed so the production lacks confident direction.  Still, it's a neat little movie for mystery buffs.

CAPTAIN CELLULOID vs. THE FILM PIRATES (1966)
This is a four-chapter serial filmed by a group of die-hard cliffhanger fans involving a superhero who seeks out the heavily disguised Master Duper, who uses whatever device he can to steal master negatives of movies that are considered "lost" films. Impressive.

CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT : The Television Series
The character of Captain Midnight was a daring, jut-jawed war hero who led a mysterious government group known as the Secret Squadron.  Midnight, his comic sidekick Inky, and the rest of the Squadron traveled the globe stomping out evil.  This television series did not last long on the air, but left such an impression that most people are familiar with the Captain Midnight character just by the name!  Most of the episodes we offer have their original Ovaltine commercials from the 1950s! This nine-disc box set contains a ton of episodes (listed below), some  Jet Jackson versions of the same episodes, and a special bonus containing a segment from Captain Midnight’s “live” telecast of Adventure Theater. $45.00

CAPTAIN SINBAD  (1963)
Stars Guy Williams as Sinbad. Some consider this film appalling because it was obviously made for kids, but fans who love ZORRO will want to see Guy Williams swashbuckling his way through this rarely-seen classic.

CAPTAIN VIDEO
"Fighting for law and order, Captain Video operates from a mountain retreat, with secret agents at all points of the globe! Possessing scientific secrets and secret weapons, Captain Video asks no quarter, and gives none to the forces of evil." Shortly after its debut, Captain Video was rated behind only Howdy Doody among daily programs, consistently besting better-known shows such as Kukla Fran and Ollie. The program had a low budget - $25.00 per episode so the control knobs were painted on the walls and stock footage from westerns (yes, westerns!) was featured to fill in a few minutes of each episode. Broadcast "live" on sound stages, these television episodes are extremely difficult to find and features four classic episodes starring Richard Coogan and Al Hodge!

Officer Toody and muldoon were among the most unlikely patrol-car partners ever seen on a police force. Starring Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis, this 12-DVD box set features the complete series, every episode of the series in chronological order from the first episode to the last. $50.00

In “Here’s Flash Casey” (1938), Flash Casey gets out of high school and begins what is his first big job - and almost risks his life in the process.

That shows just how much the studio felt this film was worthy as a stand-alone film.

The duo is involved with Sue Carol and Charles S. Morton, whose desire to marry is jeopardized by Morton’s inability to locate a deed to some family property.  While this film has been released through a number of venues, the fact that is remains public domain has prevented a major restoration but this has to be the finest restoration we have ever seen.

CIGARETTE COMMERCIALS
Cigarette manufacturers were one of the first industries to advertise widely on television. They had deep pockets and could afford to gamble on a new advertising medium, footing the bill for a host of early classic television programs. Ironically, in just a few short decades, they were cast away from the medium they helped create.
Includes vintage such examples as:
L & M Cigarettes (from TV’s “Gunsmoke”), Camel (with the cast from TV’s Topper)
Cavalier (King Size), L & M (movie star Nick Adams), Marlboro (with actress Julie London)
Camel Filters (“Drop Eveything!”), Winston (from the Bob Cummings Show)
Phillip Morris (with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz), Salem (“My Favorite Spot”)

THE CIRCUS QUEEN MURDER  (1932 plus bonus!)
In 1932, Adolph Menjou starred as detective Thatcher Colt in THE CIRCUS QUEEN MURDER involving, yes, murder at the circus. The studio's attempt to have their own detective series to compete against the other studios, this film is unique in that it truly is a pre-code film. The killer disposes of the victims' bodies by feeding the corpses to the cage of canibals. No joke! Dwight Frye gets a superb role in this movie. THE CIRCUS QUEEN MURDER was the second of two movies Menjou played the role of Thatcher Colt. This three-disc set contains the first movie as well, and a third film featuring the character of Thatcher Colt but with a different actor!  $15.00

Only 26 episodes were filmed and broadcast, and until recently, only seven episodes were known to exist over the last few decades. Finally, someone turned up all 26 episodes and we are proud to offer the entire series on seven DVDs. The plots are fairly routine but there are a number of them that actually keep you guessing and are what we consider original concepts. Unlike most of what we offer, the quality is not superb.
