The lead falls in love with a woman and to prove his worth to her father, agrees to participate on a four-month expedition to Mars by a renegade scientist. Did we mention this was a musical?  Yep, one of the weirdest and unique movies to come from the vaults of 1930.

KING OF THE JUNGLE  (1933)
Stars Buster Crabbe as Kapsa, The Lion Man. A white youth who is raised in the jungle by the animals is captured by a safari and brought back to civilization as an attraction in a circus. Sounds a lot like Tarzan? It should. While MGM was producing the Johnny Weismuller series, another studio decided to do their own rip-off version with Buster Crabbe, the actor who lost out on playing the role for MGM in the first place!

KLONDIKE
The 1960-61 TV series stars James Coburn and Ralph Taeger. Only 17 episodes were ever produced by ZIV Television. This four-disc box set contains 16 of those episodes. KNOW YOUR ENEMY (1945)
Just after the war started, Army Chief of Staff George C. Marshall asked director Frank Capra to produce a series of film shorts as documentaries for the troops over seas. That series of films, WHY WE FIGHT, is easily available but this film, done as a solo feature, is not that easy to find. Released August of 1945, it was removed out of theaters because the Japanese surrendered shortly after the release of the film.

KONGO  (1932)
Now here's one of those top fifty pre-code flicks that we all come to love. A sound remake of the Lon Chaney classic WEST OF ZANZIBAR. The story revolves around "Deadlegs" Flint. he id driven by his mate for the man who crushed his spine and stole his wife. He rules as a living god in a remote area of Africa. He holds the natives in his control by praying on their superstitions and clever use of stage magic. He also hold a small group of white people virtual captives in his dark empire. This live dramatic show featured stories of the macabre, murder and mayhem.  Walking skeletons, dead corpses returning from the grave, ancient curses, bargains with the devil, and much more.  At the beginning of each episode, all you saw were the eyes, and when the camera panned back you caught a glimpse of the decapitated head who introduced you to a half-hour of sheer terror - the candle light would go out and enter the horror story of the evening.  Hollywood and broadcast actors from Raymond Massey, Boris Karloff and even Grace Kelly played lead roles on this program.  Now you can enjoy these vintage classics.  This seven-disc box set contain a ton of episodes (listed below).
